Do you have a dream where you’ll receive some amount of money every semester or every year as a student of university? Or perhaps, you’ve been already one of thousands people who submitted for scholarship some times ago. For bigger expectation, you’re dreaming to study abroad without paying any tuition. Well, don’t worry about that! Every body has the same opportunity to get them all if you/they are appropriate, you have a big desire, and ready for everything. Here are some tips on how you can get the scholarship.

            The first thing that you have to remember is you have to make your self appropriate with the scholarship. Here means you are qualified and approvable for be the student who’ll get the award. Some scholarships might be awarded based on academic achievement, or might be the combination of academic, special talents, trait or interest. Others are based on financial need. We usually find academic achievement requires for a financial need. For instance, my university requires 3.00 as the minimum standard of GPA for students who want to apply for PPA scholarship. In other university might be more than it. So, in this way, you have to study hard in order to get at least the minimum standard of sore.

            The second, if you are going to study abroad, at least you have to make a list of what makes you unique, what skills that you have. Perhaps, you can sing with a very gorgeous voice, mastering some traditional dances, mastering some instruments, etc. You also have to prepare your self with a broaden knowledge and best achievement. Once you have them all, you are qualified enough for the award.

            The next point, on dealing with scholarship, you need a big desire. It means that you have a big spirit and serious in reach it. You need to search all information about the scholarship. Every college or university provides various scholarships. Usually they will be listed on website or on the wall magazine. Essentially, scholarship doesn’t usually just get handed to you. So you must be very diligent to go out looking for any information. After you find some, read all the requirements carefully and often! After that, of course you have to apply all the applications which are required. Apply early from the deadline. Don’t be shy to ask everything to the officers, lecturers, or friends at the time you find trouble.

            At the end of the tips, you have to pray a lot! Whenever you have to be ready for the result, because   you only can try and God is the only who’ll make up all your tried-s. Once you get it, you have to be so grateful, and once you fail, YOU MUST TRY AGAIN! (Hehehe). Don’t ever give up! If you think you are capable, or you have something, than you will really get it, right?

            Anyhow, scholarship is not awarded to an ordinary student, but to an extra-ordinary student. It demands a lot of works on your part. Sometimes it is so complicated, too competitive, but someone has to win, so why shouldn’t it be you?

  YOU’LL FIND GRAMMAR IS NOTHING, BUT YOU ARE SOMETHING (syahrini say this "something" :D) WITH GRAMMAR

Some people say that “grammar is a monster”, “grammar is so complicated”, “no need to learn grammar, just speak!” Do you agree with that? I believe you must totally not agree (well this is a compulsion of me). Frankly it is not as difficult as you think, and as not as horrible as you acted to it. Say, I do believe grammar is fun, but when you try to understand it. It is not all about the structures, but it is also about the sense. I love grammar since it has changed the way I speak and I write. It is also the way of me to attain precious things and beauty. And because I know it is important and can not be abused or be ignored. That’s why learn grammar is a need for me. 

            When you and me myself use and know grammatical rules, we can speak, read and write with ease. We can recognize a well turned of phrase or let say, we have written a fine sentence. And when we try to apply it skillfully, I think we’ll gain the beauty of language. It is all put together with the sense. That’s what I said with attaining the precious things and beauty. When we do something grammatically, then people will feel the concord of our writing, speaking, reading, etc. And they will appreciate it more. Because it’s all clear and can be understand well.

            Now we know those positives we gained. And it becomes a big challenge to admit that grammar is very important as we are studying in English Department now. We will use it every time we speak or write. And it’s a must if we want to get a better-score than a good-enough. Or when we have a dream to study abroad, we need to do a test like TOEFL; then again we really need the understanding of grammar. I think there is nothing wrong if we try hard to learn it. It’s all about how often we practice, how often we read, we listen and apply it in our daily life. Or once we are going to find a job, we’ll do the interview, also interact with many people. And the way you speak grammatically will become another help beside your own skill. That’s not my compulsion at all. Our routines and dreams have pushed us to be that grammatical persons.

            We’ve got those points. We can not abuse or just ignore it, right? Grammar takes influence to our life and sense. For instance, when we ignore it in making a sentence, it’s possible the sentence come crashing down, and the meaning get lost. Perhaps people can catch what we are talking about, even if it is not what we said, but other times our communication fails. Still we hope they will understand. Everything’s going to be easy if we don’t think that grammar is not our need. We get what we expected in our life. Good in listening, better in writing and speaking, or even study abroad. I only generally mentioned what common students need in their life. There are still many other things to be reached.

            Finally, in the end of my writing, I say that I support my self to know grammar well. I support you too to do the same. Like I said before, it’s all about how often we read, we listen, practice and apply it in our daily life. Don’t ignore it! Make it really into you. And this is become your own compulsion. Don’t make it complicated at all. Think it’s easy for you. Push your self to learn and practice, practice, and practice. You’ll find grammar is fun. Will you? It’s all yours.
